Default Clunking noise when i turn the engine off

well my mods are in my sig. while the engine is running i have a ticking noise that sounds like an exhaust leak, but it sounds like its coming from the bottom of the engine. im pretty sure its related to the clunking noise. so when i turn the engine off there is a clunking noise that sounds it lasts for a half second. it sounds like the engine rotates one time after i turn it off and something is loose down there and it clunks. if yall want a vid i can get one up of the sound. i thought the sound was my lifters, but i think it might be a spun bearing. the engine runs strong. it will spin em in 1st, 2nd, and chirp em in 3rd. but i know that whatever is happening is robbing some ponies. my buddy has a '00 ss m6 with 3.73s, whisper lid, and a short stick and he can keep up with me and pull on me as soon as i hit 5th. and that shouldnt happen. thanks for the help and let me know if i can clear anything up for ya.

damm gravel ehh? if thats the case, i would try to flush the oil first and see if i can find shiney metal in there, or check for exhaust leaks! put the engine under load and if u hear it getting louder it could be an exhaust leak maybe! did they use paper or metal header gaskets? gravel sounding noise sounds pretty bad man lol get it fixed asap

maybe its some bullshit problem! unless it sounds crazy bad u kno the engine is gone. step one would be to flush the oil man, it doesent hurt to try! it might also be one of ur idler pulleys or a/c pully
thats seizing up maybe?
