Default Vacuum Line ???

Ok well my oil sending unit went out and I had to change my 2 front tires so I said might as well check the vacuum lines for a/c. I took dash apart. They was all good back there. So I went under hood to that lil circular check valve or w/e it is and one of them is the problem. So there is:

1. Goes straight back to firewall.
2. Goes down to vacuum resovoir.
3. Goes into wiring loom with whole bunch of wires and goes behind engine.

Well # 3 is the one that has the problem. Does anybody know where this hooks into and so on. I couldn't really stick my hands back there cause my engine was still kinda warm. Hopefully someone can chime in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Keep in mine I have a v6. Not sure if vacuum lines are same....

Are you trying to restore air flow to the vents? Maybe yours is similar to the LT1 setup: http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#HVAC_vacuum

Yeah it's just like that. I believe it's the one that goes to the intake manifold. That's what I was asking. Now I just gotta get my hand back there and find the hose and get it connected. Thanks 2001NBMZ28

Well I traced the line. The line is good. It goes into some metal fitting that the brake booster line also goes into and it bolt into the intake manifold. The brake booster seemed fine no cracking or anything like that. I dunno what it could be. I've been without a/c in the vents for 3 years i'm bout to just keep it that way til I get a v8.

Weird. I guess it fixed it when I was tinkering around with it. I went to the store and a couple other places and decided to turn it on and it works now.

Cool, maybe it took a little time to get vacuum to the vacuum tank?

Yeah it took 3 years. LoL I'm j/k but seriously it would never work. But messing around with the hoses and tightning the metal fitting 1/4 turn made it work somehow. Now it blows so ice cold out the vents I have to turn it on low sometimes.
