ok i was doin a burnout and i did a 180 then m power steering goes out what happenes did i rev it 2 much ???my steering is super hard ...i have p.s fluid in it ...please help me out here !!!!!!!!!!!!!thanks

you may have damaged your rack in the car,try raising it up and turn back and forth to full rotation and see what happens.

Back when I have my v6 firebird, I did the same thing in a field...pretty drunk. I swapped out 3 rack and pinions... turns out it was the pump. Change that and see if it works.

i did the exact same thing. it was the power steering pump. they are actually a pretty shitty design from what i have expierenced. changed 2 of them in the last 40,000 miles. this one seems to be holding up well so far. guess it is kinda hit or miss
