Default can door panel be removed with window up.

Im trying to replace my window motor, I've done it about 3-4 times in the last 4 years but the window has always been able to go down to be able to remove the door panel from the tabs on the top and pull up for the rest off the hooks.Ive also tried waiting a while and it wont go. any ideas.

I answered my own question. The door is flexible enough to remove it from bottom to top very easily.

The door panel will come off if the window if up or down. I've removed & replaced my panels both ways, without any problems.

Yup. Just replaced the passenger side motor last night. What an FN bitch!
I'd say if you're doing the passenger side, to also do the autotrix Relay fix.

what window motor did you use and does the window seal tight at the very top of the window?

that doesn't have to do with the motor but the adjustment tabs on the door towards the top. Just move them up until it seals good, then reinstall the panel.

You can take it off easily. You have to remove the window trim (triangle piece) to get it back on though.

Stop replacing those motors and get an AutoTrix window fix kit from the ws6store
