In the video are you pressing the pedal...what I mean is does it do that when you let off the pedal or if you hold it in one spot? Is it any different if you shift into 1-2-or3 rather than overdrive?

It would be easier if you told us what you replaced...and if they arent major things I would start putting the stock stuff back on and see what changes it.

Wish I could help more...

the only thing that is done to it is the lid has been cut on the bottom piece

in the video the pedal is being pressed down about 1/4 but it does that crap
i never hear anyknocking that i know of
and as u can see flooring it does NOTHING at all it just revs up like its in idle barely moving

Have you driven through any large puddles? When you cut the lid it makes it easier to get water in the engine.

Does it do it at idle? Say you are driving and it does it but when you go to slow down will it keep surging?

sounds like either a fuel delivery problem or something messed up in your throttle body. like a f#@ up IAC motor or something. try cleaning your tb, clean the maf and change your fuel filter

pressing the thingy and seeing fuel shoot out is not checking fuel pressure.
This kind of response makes me think you should just take it to a shop and quit ******* wasting your time. Theres a lot to diagnosing a problem and doing it correctly is very important.

Check your plugs and wires to make sure that your seeing enough spark. Also, you said you have no cats so your seeing 02 codes, but are you using 02 sims or did you just remove the cats and 02 sensors? If so that may be messing your car up. Finally, id say maybe replace the fuel filter and have your fuel pump and injectors tested. Other than that no idea with no codes, could be anything...

How does it act when it's just at idel? I would check all your vaccum lines. Then fuel filter change, if that doesn't work take it to a reputable shop.

I am kirkjames's dad, the driver on the video. I just barely push the peddle down and hold it and the car responds by rev'n up and down, nothing consistant till you lay into it and it decides to respond. WE have replace the TPS sensor and the MAF sensor and also a new fuel filter. Will go and have the pressure checked this evening and will post. Seems the likely culprit but we shall see. New plugs and wires will be replace shortly but would find it strang to get this kind of response all of a sudden. Anyone know what the normal fuel pressure is?

Fuel presure tested was 18. Obviously need a fuel pump. Local NAPA Auto parts had one for a bit over 300 bucks and was manufactured by "Carter".
Any suggestions on type and where? Should we go back with a delco? Are there any as good with a better price? Sure I could look but you guys have the experience. I have no problem replacing parts on my 72 mustang. The electronics on these vehicles are great but when they mess up, cha ching!
