Default Where to get a 16mm x 2.0 tap from??? Crank Pulley bolt stripped

I just stripped my Crank Pulley bolt. I would like to look into getting a tap to try to re-thread this. Others suggested Helicoil. WHat do you guys think? Can i find a tap at any parts store or home depot? I would like to get up 1st thing in the morning and work on this. Thanks

Instead of chasing your tail, just get a new bolt from the dealership

If it is stripped, a new tap isn't gonna help ya - get a heli-coil kit.

The helicoil kit will have an oversized tap, correct drill size, 'couple of helicoils and should include an insertion tool. A good automotive machine shop should have the correct size, also look at industrial supply hardware type stores, yer not gonna find this in stock at an everyday hardware store, in this case Ace is not the place for your hardware needs.
