Default funny metallic noise coming from y pipe.

Recently i took my stock muffler off and the catback to install another mufflex kit my friend lent me. Well it doesn't fit properly so i've been running around with nothing after the y pipe. When i rev it up to about 1500-2000 it makes a funny droning noise and when i let off from those rpms it makes kind of a metallic rattling noise inside the y pipe almost as if something is stuck in there. I'll have a video posted up later on, could this be a possible clogged cat? or like honeycomb material loose or something?

i dont plan on running it like this forever, it was my mistake to cut off the old exhaust because i couldnt remove it without cutting it. I'm just waiting for my slp lm1 kit to come in.

A bad CAT makes a sound like rocks rattling around inside a can. The beads inside starting to clump up. You hear it when you rev.
