Default Startup and gas mileage issues.

Ok, so i have a 2000 WS6 with about 28k on it right now... Just the last few times I've started it and over the last tank and a half I've noticed a couple things.... First, when you first start it up, mostly on a cold start, but it does it a little on a warm start, it will stumble and drop down to like 300 rpm and run rough for just a few seconds surging up to like 500 and back down and then go up and be fine. And the other thing is... my gas mileage seems to be worse than usual all the sudden too. Nothing hugely drastic or anything, but I normally go like 30 miles or more before it comes down to the full line when i fill up, and this last one was 17... lol. So any ideas of what's up?

I've been having the same problem sort of. Except, instead of idling at 1k, like it's supposed to, after it stumbles, it'll go up and hold at 2k for a little bit. Also starts kinda hard too. Never on the first try.

Are you watching your actual gas mileage or just basing it off of it coming down before full mark? Bobbers in gas tanks get thrown off, fill up your tank run it about 200 miles then fill it up again and check, the stumbling could be anything, maybe piston slap?
