I've had this problem since buying the car, and I can't figure out what it is. My driver side wiper (2002 Camaro) travels too far and the blade actually travels off the windshield at the top. I've taken it off and tried reinstalling but it still does it. Is the transmission messed up?

the only thing i can think of at the moment is try getting one size smaller

On my car (95 Firebird) the left and right Wiper arms are different, and if I switch them I have that same problem. You could try switching the sides and see if that makes a difference. The difference is the width of the plastic piece of the cover that goes over the arm.

Wiper is too big. They should be 22" - drivers side and 24" - passenger side. Most places will same 24 for both.

Guess I'll go measure them and see, I'm pretty sure I have the same length on both sides so maybe thats my problem.

I did have a 24" wiper on the drivers side, swapped it for the 22" and its better but it still barely comes off the windshield at the top.

Stupid car, making me feel dumb.
