Advice on plugs and oil needed
What does everyone recommend in the ways of when to change spark plugs and what kind to use.
Also what kind of oil does everyone use?

I changed mine at 50K miles with TR55s and MSD Wires. You can find some good deal for the combo in the sponsor specials section.
German Castrol Syntec 0w-30 seems to be the most popular oil for our LS1s, you can find it at select Autozones (might have to call a few before you find one that actually stocks it). Next would be Mobil One 0w-40.

When I swapped my headers in I put in TR-55's, that was at about 35k. I dont like MSD since they are really hard to get clicked in. I went with Gm ZO6 wires, got them at Sam Taylor.
As for oil, I use Mobil Clean 5000, I dont care for synthetic. I am at the firm belief I'll be building a bigger motor by the time I wipe out the bearings.

there are probably a hundred threads on this topic, try doing a search. The word is the mobil 1 0w-40 and Castrol Syntec 0w-30 are closer to true 30 weights when compared to other synthetics.
