Default Oil breather cap smoking

Hey guys,

I noticed this shortly after I bought the car but kinda ignored it. My oil breather filter/cap smokes a little bit when the car warms up, so I'm guessing something is burning lol. Could this just be time for new gaskets or what do you guys think? Or is it supposed to do this?

Thanks

hummm, i cant think of anything that would be burning there.

Anything other then oil that is... I know ive seen mine smoke from there when the car was hot and i was adding oil. But thats it... Just steam.

If you had a leak (blown headgasket) you'd have smoke out the exhaust or could pressurize the collant. But i doubt that.

Do you have the stock oil cap that screws on the fill tube? And can you tell if its steam or burning oil. The smell would be significantly different.

I just re-read your title... its probably just steam comin out the breather.
