Default Shutting off airbag light?

Ok, this really isn't LS1, but it IS GM....

A friend has a '00 Buick Regal, she couldn't get a sticker because the airbag light is on. Is there a way to shut it off or reset it?

Will pulling the airbag fuse shut it off? Not as a permanent solution, just a quick fix to get the sticker.

Thanks for any input!

Either that or pull the module and the bags.

If there is a malfunction in the SRS system it could suck. At least I would be scared of the damn bags going off.

Well, for whatever reason, the light is now off. All I did was check the yellow connection under the seat (read about that after doing a quick google search), which seemed fine anyway, but after that I started the car, and no light.

She got the car from her dad, he mentioned the light being on, he said his mechanic had spent time chasing it down and had said the bags were fine. That's pretty much all I know about it.

Many people think that but is a myth. If the SRS light is on the system is disabled, even in an event where the air bags would need to be deployed they wont.
