well it might be a hydraulic problem. i'm no mechanic.here's what happened. i did 2 passes at the track.last run I hooked first gear good and as I tried to hit second. .I couldn't shift into it. i had to force it in.then it locked me out of 3rd. i pulled over in neutral.i came to a complete stop and then tried shifting, but my tranny wouldnt go into any gear at all.I shut the car off and i was able to go into gears with the car off.when i started the car in 1st. the cars idle drop to 300. then as i shut the car off i tried it again then the car would stall in 1st. it would shoot forward and stall. what do you guys think?

I'm in no way an expert on the T56 or hydraulic clutches, but it sounds to me like the the clutch doesn't disengage.
So I'd haveto +1 on the hydraulic problem. Done any work to the clutch lately?

somewhere in the trans . you might be due for a new clutch though that may not be your problem . if the pad has enough grip to cause a stall it may be somehting else .
