Default the headlight motor question

ok so my passenger side hasnt worked in almost 2 years. at first it would sometimes go up and sometimes it wouldnt. then finally it just stoped coming up.

my question is. it never made grinding noises or any sound that would suggest mechanical failure with a gear. I can manually raise and lower it with great ease for the most part. if there was a gear issue wouldnt i be able to feel it slipping while im manually turning it up? just curious if all this time ive been thinking i needed a new gear when mabe its a electrical issue.

and where can i test on the passenger HL motor to see if it is infact not getting any power.?

dude test it at the motor with the switch in the on position (head lamps up) and see if there is any power at the connection. If so buy new motor. If not then wiring problem
