Default did I recieve the wronge window motor ?

I just purchased the discount auto window motor $54.+ tax. Siemans #WL42001

when reading the instructions it came w/ stated it was for a 91- 82 model 4 door truck did't state anything about being for a trans am.

did they give me the wronge motor?
I'm thinking they did because post #1

from this thread https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-maintenance-repairs/936650-brand-window-motor-buy-autozone-hr.html

claims Part Number: WL42014 to be correct PN

Thanks

Your motor looks the same as this one here:

or at least all the mounting holes location.

They sure look the same. Try to cross reference the part numbers. GM uses a whole lot of crap that fits many different applications.

Take out the old motor and match it against the new one.

I beleive the motors are military design - "left" and "right" so hopefully you have the right one. If not, you should keep it anyway since your good motor will go bad soon.

It's the same for more GM vehicles than not, and left/right doesn't matter either. You're good to go.
