Your VATS is preventing starting. You have a backup key? It's the little chip in the key is not working right.

have you tried to jump the car, my infiniti did this before no clicking at all, dash lights on, and surprisingly jumping it worked. then later the starter died. what did you do to get it started the other times?

Call your local quality locksmith that does Vats keys. They may have a VATS box; this box will bypass the vats system. My SS stranded me one time; acted like a dead battery. I replaced the battery and still nothing. After having the car towed home the locksmith tested the vats and it started. The wires were broken in the column for the VATS and I have it replaced, about $300.00

Try cleaning your key first. If that doesn't work measure the resistance of your key pelet and pick up some resistors at radio shack to match it. Then unplug the connector under the dash and put them on the car side to bypass the VATS. Sometimes you can wait a few minutes and the security light will go off, depends on if it failed with the ignition was on or when just starting the car. Lots of posts here on how to bypass VATS.
