Exclamation new mobil 1 0-30 oil!

hey guys just seen this new 0-30 mobil 1 with a green cap and label and it says it surpasses 5-30 and 10-30 oil.i have been useing the german castrol 0-30 and my autozone carrys it but this may be good for you guys that cant get the castrol.
i know from what i read on here that the 5-30 mobil 1 will run thiner that the 0-30 castrol when it gets up to temp so im not shure if this will get even thiner.
it does say that it will give better gas mileage and i had a turbo eclipse back in the day and i used to run mobil1 10-30 then tryed castrol synthetic in the same weight and with the mobil the engin seemed to rev more freely like the oil was slicker but maybe it was in my head lol.
i may start useing the mobil 1 0-30.
let me know what ya guys think

actually both 0w-30 and 5w-30 will have the same thickness at operating temperature. The only difference is on start up where 90% of engine damage occurs. A 0w-30 will be less thick at start up than a 5w-30, and if your oil is less thick, it can get to the vital engine parts quicker. Flow=lubrication not pressure.

As far as gas mileage, a synthetic will give you better gas mileage over a normal oil or mineral based oil, but i don't think a 0w-30 over a 5w-30 would give you better mpg, just less engine wear at start up.

Either way, nice find! a 0w-30 will definitely be better than a 5w-30.

hmm, well i used nothing but the mobil1 as recommended, and like a lot of LS motors, i used about 1/2 a quart in 3k miles... i switched to the mobil clean 5000, and i dont use any oil now and i dont notice a difference in the way it runs and sounds...

i did end up useing this oil and and seems good so far.
i think the castrol is over hyped but i do beleave that not all oils are equal.
my 03 e500 v8 benz takes the 0-30 so if its good for a close to 70k benz its good for my camaro lol.
