Default 92mm tb on a 90mm FAST intake?

Will a 92mm tb work fine with a 90mm FASt intake? Can the 90mm intake be opened up to 92mm? Please help! Im going to have my 90mm FAST intake ported soon and I just want to make sure. Thanks in advance!

I remember reading some threads when the 92 version first came out. Even the guys that make it don't think you will see much performance difference between the 90 and 92 throttle body unless you have a big cube motor.

while a 2mm increase in mouth size equals aproximatly a 4% increase in area...i don't think you'll ever notice it.

and the lip around the edge of the opening will be 1mm thick with a 92mm tb on the 90mm intake.

thats not gonna hurt performance enough to worry about.

i would guess you could port the opening to take out that small difference. but why bother.

We have had no problem bolting 92mm TBs to 90mm intakes. You can definately port the 90mm out to 92 but I would not expect to see a huge difference there.

ya john is right u need to port a whole lot more on the 90 but i have seen 15rwhp just from the port...also i argued with my friend about the lack of "extra" power he would see goin to a 92 but no one listens to me lol
