anyone w/ QTP or PPC headers inside please...
i currently have FLP's on my car, it's an'02 ws6 w/ a stage II head and cam package. i have major fitment issues w/ the FLP's hitting the floor when i accelerate, the y-pipe hit the floor, and i have to use a pry bar to remove my oil drain plug ! i'm thinking about getting some new headers, and i was looking at the QTP'a and the PPC's. what doyou guys think of them? my questions are these:
1) do they have nice ground clearance?( thinking about lowering the car)
2) do they hit the floor board in any type of driving situations?
3) far enough away from the oil pan?
4) easy/ hard to install( i'm a mechanic at a pontiac dealer)
5) do you have to modify the intermidiate pipe, if so, how?
let me know what you all think.

Go with PPC or Kooks. QTP is having some QC issues with the headers being able to match up to a Y-pipe, some people have problems some don't. Ground clearance is pretty good.
The Mufflex Y QTP sells hit's in 3 different spots.. thus why I don't have it on the car anymore.
Yes they are far enough away from the oil pan
You'll beable to install them
you'll probably have to cut it but I'm no totally for sure.

I would go with the QTPs
Clearance is as good as you can get with LTs
Haven't noticed any banging
Don't think it is possible to get in the way of the oil pan
I installed mine myself, so I assume you should have it easy
My y pipe fit fine

PPC. No banging. Great fit. Installed myself. Pry bar to change your oil? Are you planning on running cats? The drivers side cat is the lowest point. Still not bad. How low?

I love the fit of QTP's, mine went in so easy, and they are not in the way of anything. Y-pipe however was another issue. Was too short, so i put it on, took it to the local muffler shop and had them cut and fit everything for 50 bucks. Now no problems and i love them. Drian plug is far from the primaries, definate sotp up top.

QTP, Kooks, PPC and Thunder are all the same design header (Grott). QTP's are 304 Stainless only, Kooks are 304 Stainless or Mild steel, PPC and TR are mild steel coated only.
I would get stainless steel. (Actually I did, Kooks)
