Default coolant temp sensor q

I have a 98 PCM (LS1) but my 853 heads are 99. Would anyone happen to know what part number I need for the cts? TIA

For a 98 PCM, it is listed as PN 12551708. Which should be a stock ECT for a 98 engine. The 99 heads would not make an difference. But you have to use the correct ECT for the PCM.

Thanks bczee. I assume a pipe adapter should work then, if need be?

They should be the same thread on both heads.. should not need any adapter for a OEM sensor. It is a Metric thread (I recall it is 12mm ?), I had drilled and tapped my passenger side head for 1/4" NPT for a Autometer gauge and sender. Left the OEM one in the driver side for the PCM to use as required.

Ok cool. Reason why I was concerned was because the 99 pcm is different that the 98, so I wasn't sure if the sensor would be different also.

Yes, the sendsor is different but the threads are the same.. no need for a adapter to switch from a 99 to 98 or 98 to 99 sensor for swapping the PCM. just replace all of the sensors to the correct one for the PCM that you are using.
