Default LS2/truck coils on LS1 motor

Is anyone using the Truck coils on a ls1/LS6 motor?
AC delco D585

they are suspost to be 3 times more powerful over the LS1 coils.

I think you would need a different mounting valve cover barcket too.

Let me know if i could use these for a more powerful ingintion

im using them with the truck valve covers and brackets. only reason i used them was because the originals had 90,000 miles and the 6.0 i bought had 9,000.

Yeah.. this one of those Mod's that if you got the money, parts and time, ok, do it.. But it really didn't buy you much... as far as HP/TQ, the Brain-Dyno-Meter may tell you that you have more HP/TQ.. but most likely NOT !

I have read post's with people saying they have more problem with the MSD's than the OEM ones...???

I have a set of 8 brand new Msd 8246 coils! They were designed for the LQ truck series!(direct bolt on for anybody running this coil gm part # 19005218)
They retail anywhere $750-850! These are still in the original packaging! I bought them for my ls1 they will work but I would have to swap brackets and harnesses!

What retard would pay $850 for a set of "MSD" coils when for almost the same price they can get a set of Ported heads from TSP.
