Default Testing Coils?

Is there a way to test the LS1 coil to determine if it is good/bad?

Buddy's car is LT1 with the LTCC conversion and it pulls strong to 6300 then looses power by about 50HP then rises and falls. Trying to rule out coils as being the problem.

We normally swap them around... see if the mis-fire follows the coil. From what I've heard and seen, most of the time it's something else.

Thanks. Looking back on the install we did not place the coils in the best location. We put them on the firewall b/c it looks cool....next time we will think of function....

The only test I know of requires an osilliscope.
The 2ndary output & primary current ramping tests.
Have seen a poor PCM driver this way B-4.
What is the limiter in this car set at??
