Thats how I run mine.

LT Headers -> Y pipe -> bullet on the back of y pipe
I plan on putting a turndown on the back of the bullet.. but what is some interior noise for the time being?
sounds good to me!

does it bang at all? and is it that much louder in the cab? Also does the drive shaft flex enough for it to rub on the muffler if there was one there

do it man! thats how i have mine. and i love the sound!!! i don't think it is that loud. i know people are gonna get on here and say oh my goodness it's loud as hell don't do it. but IMO if you want a quiet car then buy a prius. i would describe it as a little quieter than having stock manifold, cats, and no muffler. it does drone a little at 2k rpm. if you put an exhaust hanger on the end of it then no it wont bump anything. there is plenty of room to fit it where it won't hit the driveshaft. i used a dynomax bullet. i like dynomax. it is real deep while idling and cruising and sounds wicked at WOT!!!

I also used dynomax bullet! Not a good video because it is too loud for my camera

It sounds GREAT in person, you miss a lot of the Top-End noise because it kills the camera, but damn it sounds sexy

On my way out today I'll make a in car video for you, maybe it will pick up the noise being quieter inside.

thanks man Don't let the video fool you, its MUCH better in person.

I don't even have a turndown on the back of my bullet yet... so I guess I'm running.. Open bullet!

Sounds damn good to me to and only cost me.. 120 y pipe, 30 used bullet, compared to the 300 I was quoted for mandrel bent

It's actually surprisingly quiet just cruising also

P.S. Nice numbers!! I made 335/346 with exact mods, except the P&P TB! makes a nice difference!

Krazy4 ran his Z28 with stock manifolds, cats, and Y and put a single 4x9 magnaflow on it dumped before the axle and it actually sounded pretty sweet. Best budget exhaust ive ever seen.

not trying to hijack but did a 4x9 fit under his car without hanging too low? i thought about something like this if it is too loud for mine after h/c

this is what i plan on doing then. I cant wait. What muffler should i go with. This is my primary vehicle but i dont drive daily. I catch a ride with someone for work. I want something aggressive but doesnt drone alot and wont annoy the **** out of you for a a couple hour ride. Any suggestions? Oh yeah it needs to be a bullet muffler

i would go with the dynomax bullet part#wlk-24219, it is the longer of the two they offer. or either magnaflow 4" round case part#mpe-14419

i have the dynomax and it doesn't annoy me at all. the magnaflow is a little quieter since it has stainless packing inside.

i was looking into this for a while as well im either going this route or getting duals this winter. i think it would sound about the same as duals but i wonder what kind of power difference there is with the duals? as for mufflers the idea i tossed around are sweet thunder, borla xr1, the magnaflow 4x9 and the 4" round looked like it would work real well for this. dont know if the 4x9 would fit though? anyone with this setup or that does it should post up pics and vids to see different mufflers and how well they work.

My old exhaust was an ORY with a flowmaster 40 series street muffler dumped right before the axle. Ran a 13.09 @ 106 with completely stock motor, full exhaust, slp lid and a tune. In an M6 car.

Now I run a true dual system which a buddy built. Heres a vid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bv1DMeFTZ4c

a couple of the guys at my local shop run single chamber flows dumped off the Y. keeps the noise down while still making power. seems to be a good alternative to duals or catbacks while keeping a good sound.

from hearing mine and hearing the dual setups with bullets, i think they sound identical. mine does NOT have any rasp. i'll put it this way. when i crank up in a parking lot hardly anyone looks. now an open y-pipe is a different story.

there is a guy on here, his sn is full force. he has built many systems like this and says they sound exactly like the dual systems. maybe he will chime in
