The power of hooker comp long tubes vs pacesetters? Both are coated and 1 3/4. Also is it necessary to shave the ribs from a used ls6 intake? Why is this done?

really no difference in the headers except brand preferences. the shaving of the ribs is necessary to clear the steam vent tubes under the intake

What if you buy the coolant croosover pipe and other install accessories, do you still need to shave the ribs off?
