Question about pacesetter y-pipe...cats
I'm thinking of ordering a set of pacesetter headers, but I want to keep my cats, atleast the appearance.
Is it possible to put cats in their y-pipe? Like cutting out the factory ones and welding them in place? I don't want to have to buy new cats.... I'm looking for the cheapest way to do this.
If I can do this I might even knock out the factory cats and run o2 sims.
Just trying to go the cheapest route....

Re: Question about pacesetter y-pipe...cats
I don't think it is possible to put cats in their y-pipe without some modification, especially if you wan't to reuse the stock cats. You will have to visit an exhaust shop to get it all wleded up anyway, so save yourself the hassle and don't buy their ypipe and have one made by an exhaust shop.
Mine cost me $200 plus $70 for two carsound cats. For a total of $270, parts and labor. And this way you won't run into any fitment problems because it will all be custom.
I will post pics of mine after I get it on a lift Saturday.
