Default 2000 LS1 into my old Land Rover

Got your attention? Okay. I'm installing a 2000 LS1 into my very modified 1971 Land Rover. It's bolted to the matching 4L60E and a Dana 300 xfercase. The exhaust is stock Corvette S/S manifolds dumping into a custom mandrel bent 2.5" Y-pipe. That transitions into a mandrel bent 3" single pipe, through a Carsound convertor/resonator and out through a Magnaflow 14" straight muffler. The original intake was swapped out for a Corvette unit (fixed to accept a throttle cable) to eliminate the egr piping. That's pretty much it as it stands.
I have a GM Performance ASA PCM 12480112 and standalone harness to control this engine. I also have a factory 2005 GTO LS camshaft that I considered installing for additional HP and to truly eliminate the egr requirements. This vehicle will be driven on and off-road.
What, if anything, should I do to the PCM programming based on your experiences. Should I install this GTO camshaft or locate an ASA camshaft? I'm looking for any opinions and input. Thanks.

you might be better off asking the camshaft question in the internal engine section and the pcm question in the electronics and wiring section.

you're probably right. I wasn't thinking clearly.
