whats the diff. between these 2 magnaflow mufflers

Default whats the diff. between these 2 magnaflow mufflers

between the magnaflow #12267 and the magnaflow #12288???

i know the 12267 is the one listed for the camaros...and all the dimesions are about thesame.....

anyone know??

i think the 12288 is used for pickups that want dual exhaust. Its 3" inlet on one side and dual 2.5" outlets on the other side.

so will it work just fine on our cars?? the 12288.

No i dont think it will work. It has the inlet on one side and the outlets on the other side. F-bodys have an inlet and an outlet on one side and an outlet on the other side. I dont recommend it, would take to much work to get it to work and the flow wouldnt be very good.

(12267)Here this is the difference between the 2 number you are asking about. This muffler can only be transverse mounted the inlet is on the top right and the exits are on the bottom right and left.



(12288)
This cant be used like the muffler above. As you will be able to see that from the internal design.
