It's hard to give you an answer as you don't tell us anything about your car make or model year.

If you've got an LS1, 2000 to 2002 model year the cat/emissions warranty was increased to like 120 k miles and like for 10 years.

You want a better answer beyond that - then you need to put up some info.

Garbage in garbage out....

EDIT: After viewing the ebay thingys, looks like you've got a model that's still under federal emissions warranty. I'd just go to the dealer and get it done fer free.
If yer beyond the 120k miles, let me know. I've got one off my '02 T/A I'll sell to ya cheap.

BTW-The difference between the two? Nothing, they appear to be the same link. Perhaps I'm blind...

Not for the 2000 to 2002 F Body LS1
It was changed to 10 years/120k miles.

Anybody have the letter from GM handy that outlines the extension of the Federal Emissions warranty for the cats on the 2000 to 2002 LS1 F-body?

I think it has the TSB number on it, and the OP can reference this info to the dealership.

I threw mine away since I no longer had the original cats on my car when I received it.

Just buy a offroad y-pipe and take them to Omnisource and they will give you some money for them at least for the good one. I got $130 for my cats!

Here is a copy of the warranty extension:

http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/4605/gmletterle2.jpg

Its from this thread:https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...80k-miles.html

see post #15
Doesn't matter if yer the first owner or the 32nd owner, warranty is good either way for 10 years/120K.
