meziere water pump {street } wiring question... should i just hook this up to a hot wire that makes and breaks through the key or is there a better way to wire it???????

Re: meziere water pump {street } wiring question... I use a relay.Battery to relay,relay to pump.
On the control side I hooked off the fuel pump wire.With the F-body's you just lift the relay/fuse box up and find the gray wire coming from the fuel relay.That way the pump runs only when the car is running.
