You might want to start asking the questions before you buy the products. I dont think it flows quite as good as an LS6 intake if my memory serves me correct, but it would be more durable. Honestly, a used LS6 is a better buy IMO.

Actually it flows pretty damn good. Definately better than the ls6. You will get a bit of heat soak on long drives. So if you have a long drive to the track let it cool down before you do your runs. Meth inj? Seriously? No. Like was said above, it is a very durable intake. I've seen two of them survive some pretty nasty nitrous backfires. Only damage done was a bowed out lower plate.

Should have bought an even flowing/slightly better flowing LS6 intake for cheaper. As far as nitrous back fires and blowing intakes apart, its few and far between.

Here's some good info guys...

http://www.tpis.com/plog/index.php?o...Id=14&blogId=1

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/3336/bbkqz9.jpg

there's an article link floating around here somewhere showing the comparisons of all the intakes out there... needless to say BBK was the next best to the FAST manifold... LS6 was one or two notches below the BBK. I searched, but couldn't find the article

I've got the BBK and like it very much...

The BBK intake is a good intake. I saw in the newest LS1 speed secrets book...it made 17 more hp than a LS6 intake and 1 hp less than a FAST 90 on the same engine.

As far as heat soak goes..... cars have been running aluminum intakes for years with no issues, and if losing maybe .003% power is that big of an issue than spend the extra $650 on a FAST intake. I got my FAST dirt cheap or I would have went with a BBK.

I got mine used for a great price. cleaned up the casting material left over and installed. I like it, may not flow as well as a fast but it will take a backfire on the juice, that is important to me. We made 5 back to back passses @ HRP and all were in .07 of each other so the heatsoak doesn't seem to effect performance too much, if at all.

Sounds like the BBK intake is just like the Street Warrior intake everybody is waiting for. It beats the Ls6 by a fair amount and is super close to the FAST at a much better price. So why hasn't everyone jumped on the BBK intake and forget about waiting on the Street Warrior?

yea i have this mag. the bbk did make more power. and its alot cheaper than a fast manifold. you might want to look into the mag also, they go through every performance part you can really buy and have dyno graphs for all of the setups too. it has shown me that it was a good thing i just didnt go buy all the parts that everyone else buys cuz there is stuff out there that makes more power and at less of a cost. just because its expensive does not mean its the best. go get that mag.
