My factory intake had a couple of vaccum spots on the back which this one does too but what it dont have is the little sensor or what ever that is that has a plug hanging there for it. Now could nebody tell me what that is and I guess where I can get one for this intake. Thanks for any input Jason.

pull that sensor out of your factory intake, its your map sensor, and put it in the weiand intake and you use the small screw and washer to help keep the sensor in

i was about to say it was probably the map sensor.. beat me to it 98ta.. post pics of the new wieand and tell everyone how it performs compared to your stock ls1 intake if you can, i'm real curious on how the weiand performs with all the hype they made of it..

are you talking about the street warrior or the aluminum intake?

Thanks for the help my factory intake was a LS6 so HP wise I dont know but the reason I got it is safety reasons...nitrous backfires (aluminum) supposed to be ported and all that but I will post my results.

Is there a major difference between the two? Weiand and LS6 Intake?

The main reason for my swap is I dont have to worry bout nitrous back fires now...or at least I dont think so.

Have it painted before you install it.

Instead of painting, invest in heat-deflection coatings for the underside and maybe the runners.
