Default trickflows + ms4 ptv clearance

So i put ont the trick flows today with the stock gaskets then pulled them back off to measure ptv. using the clay and caliper it says .175 for intake and exhaust both. To me that seems like alot of clearance so im wondering if that is even possible. I will be putting on .045 cometic gaskets so if that clearance is right i sholud be real safe

that sounds right. the tfs heads valves are on a 13.5 degree angle which gives you more room. they have stock valve drop at 60cc. so if they werent milled you have tons of room.

I went with the TrickFlow 215cc heads (milled to 58cc chambers) and 247/252 .623 113 +3. Ron at Vengance Racing and my builder said I will not have any problem with PTV clearance.

You are still going to measure it right? Have you done the install yet?

for the love of god measure that before you fire it up! my 247/254 114+4 was close with my heads milled to 60cc and a 10 cc dish with reliefs in the pistons.

i consider everything above pistons external. when you say internal you are usuall talking about rods, pistons, crank, cam etc. not valves. anyways why does that even matter its not something to argue about im just looking for help while trying to help others. people usually use the search button to find what there looking for anyways.

Motor is a max effort build (pistons are flycut). My builder will measure and Ron at Vengance said if it does not fit, he will send me a new cam. This is a new package Vengance has developed and should make close to 600 flywheel HP. I will update the thread when they do final assembly.
