Default waterpump swap help

I have a 03 6.0 out of a pickup truck in my s10 blazer. I just swapped the waterpump out for one off of an ls1, i spaced the pulley out so belt alignment would not be an issue. But after driveing it around the block the belt is cutting notches in the upper radiator hose....i need some suggestions on how to fix this...and the belt is routed the same as a truck would be...

How far do you have to pull the Pulley out?

I got it fixed...i'll post up pics later...i removed the idler and spaced out the waterpump pulley and bought a new belt and routed it like a f-body....so i should not have any problems now....and also can change to an ls6 intake with minimal cutting to the alternator bracket..
