Default Losing power in the 3k plus RPM range...

I have an '02 Trans Am with a 6 speed, and sometimes when i'm accelerating hard in the 3000 rpm or higher range it feels like i lose power for a second or so and then it picks back up. Any ideas what it could be? At first I thought it was the clutch slipping, even though it's a new clutch, but I don't see the rpms shooting up when this happens...

Coil pack(s) have a short maybe?

coil packs, fuel issue, KR ,tuning. Have someone log it while your driving and see if it shows anything that way.

Clean the MAF and see if it makes a difference.

Have someone with a Tuning Program hook up to it and record the data through your RPM's, and then they can go in and see what the problem might be.

I have the same problem but it happens regularly between 2500-3000 RPM. I put new plugs and wires in it and have done a fuel system treatment on it and still happens to me.
clutch is only 6 months old too.

Hopefully when i get my 4.10s in I'll go get it tuned and someone can figure out what this RPM fluctuation is.

hey man I have the same problem and I think it is the powerband of the cam messing with something. Once tuned it should be ok. I know it's annoying especially when you know the potential.
