They require longer spark plug wires also right?

I've been reading up on these LS2 Truck coils (D585) and ended up acquiring some for a very decent price only to find that they won't work with the LTCC setup acording to Bob Bailey but I've read they could possibly work with Megasquirt. Are there really any gains with going to those lengths?

LTCC is a coil per cylinder setup using LS1/2 based coils and removing the spark from the opti. It has been proven to provide better stability in higher rpms and a hotter spark.
At least that's what I've been reading and also what some of the local racers have told me and proven on the track.

I picked up a set of LSA/ZR1 valve covers and coils, the coils bolt direct to the valve covers, no brackets needed, The coils are the same onse on 07 LS2 motors and current LS3 motors, nice clean looking coils, and i dont think longer spark plug wires are needed

Looks good! I moved my evap solenoid to fit the brackets as stock. Stock length LS7 wires reached with no problem. I recently switched to the Granetilli zero Ohm wires. The intake manifold has also bee replaced with a EGR-less LS6 manifold.

Funny, but there were issues with the MSD coils, not sure if they ever fixed them, but i would use them anyway, the newer LS3 coils and LSA valve covers look the best,

I've read elswhere that the Melco truck coils (#12558693) are better than the Delphi (#19005218)

I'm going hunting to find that thread....

Found it.

Here's the thread talking about the difference between the two different truck coils.
