I had the same problem with my 98 but I just got under the car and did some adjusting on the y-pipe till I got enough clearance to stop the rubbing. Wasn't that hard, would save you some money and a pain in the *** job of changing motor mounts. The same goes for my 01 SS, I just heated up the pipe and made a little bend on the left side pipe, did some adjusting and it fits fine. Granted Pacesetter ORY pipes are junk but they can be made to work.

No. Most folks will frown on what you see below, but it works.
It works like the old days when you tied limiting straps between the block and frame.

Only these go right in the motor mount, they let it float a bit but still allow a smooth idle.
Plus it was free. 1/2" x 1/2" x 1" steel. Four per mount.
This is the only picture I have and it shows the drivers side top. The drivers side bottom is the one that limits upward movement of the engine.

I have a full 3" diameter Edelbrock Y sitting 1/2" from my floor and it never hits.

And...someone might say I did this with the engine out so it can't be done in the car, not true.
I have two of these cars and looked at doing it to the other one, it's possible.
Maybe not to get four in each mount, but to do the bare minimum which is two on the drivers side bottom.
