Default Intakes...which one?!?!?!

My buddy and i were wondering which intake to go with for our cars...hes got a ms4 cam, LTs full exhaust, ls6intake, cutout, 160 stat, air lid, ported throttle body and MAS, stock heads stock bottom end on a 99 ws6 and he made 421hp 396tq.

Now do ya go with a FAST 90 or a Weiand War on a street strip car?!?!

I would like to see some dyno numbers on sim set ups and your thoughts Thx

well if you can find a street warrior put it on and test it and let us know how it goes. Unfortunatly they dont exist yet.
Fast works great for big heads and cam car, that and the cash you would need to invest in it between the intake/tb/porting would be alot.
If you have the money to spend go for it.

try on the new edelbrock intake too while your testing unreleased intakes

fast 90 should be fine for what you want tho it seems

To Edelbrocks credit their intake hasn't been delayed for the better part of a year!

Ported fast 90/90 or 92/92 would probably be best. Although they are not cheap, you could buy used though.

Ya my thoughts are if i can give up the power up top from 6500 to 7000 to gain a more mid range for a street trip the weiand warrior sounds nice esp. for the money..im thinking about buying one when there out and finding somone that has a FAST off there car and going back to the dyno to see the actually diff. between the to.

As for the edelbrock if i had unless money id buy em all and get the dyno and test em for ya but i can't afford it...lol

Which cam are you running?

Even if you could afford the Street warrior you wouldnt be able to get one! Hell you could give one million dollars and still not get one! I used to have really high hopes for that intake, back last summer. Now I just get kinda pissed whenever I see it!

If your set on a new intake then go with the fast, pretty much your only option.

put the money into the heads. Cheap heads will gain at least 30 hp all around. A FAST only produces about 15-20 hp best case (for cam only).

IMO some of that FAST stuff is a little over rated..
