My LPP header review
I just put on a set of LPP headers and y-pipe today, over all I'm fairly pleased with the quality of them. I haven't run the car yet so I don't know about any banging issues it may have. As far as fit goes though, I'm pretty impressed. The only real complaint I have is on the driver side one of the primaries was resting against the motor mount. I beat on it a little but I didn't have a torch to heat it up and I was worried I would crack the weld so it still touches a little. Other than that though they fit good. The driver side I didn't even have to jack the car up real high to get it in. Being up on ramps was enough. The passenger side I had to jack up but not near as high as I thought. I should mention though I had the back tires on ramps too so that probabley helped. And I don't see what every one is talking about when they say the y-pipe is crap. It looks and fits good for me. Good ground clearance and the only place that is touching the floor is where they have the bump stop thing to bolt to the floor. So over all thumbs up for LPP.

I will and no I decided to take my chances with the mount. I all ready had so much work to do to the car. I figured with the mount they added on the driver side y-pipe that it would be OK. I guess we'll see, I should have it running tomorrow.

You mean the collector? If so its just fine. I'm taking it for a test drive tomorrow to figure out if that primary that is touching the motor mount is going to be a problem or not.

I took the car for a quick trip down the street. So far it doesn't seem like anything is banging. I'll no for sure after I get it tuned and can go WOT. I may have an exhaust leak though, I'm not sure the band clamps are doing there job. I'll get under the car tomorrow to make sure. It could just be the way headers sound, I've never had long tubes before so I don't know.

I too installed LPPs new headers and ORY last summer, and for the money you cant get any better. I decided to run with the stock motor mounts, with which I now have a VERY small vibration at mid rpms. The install was smooth tho, I didnt have to remove anything except a few heat shields. They sound amazing with the Magnaflow and can be opened up nicely with my cutout whenever i need too lol. BTW, I happen to like my "cannon tips".

My install was smooth also, no problems. I'm installing new heads, and the only thing I'm going to change is that I'm going to use ARP header studs. Just as was stated above, great product.

I can't realy comment on the sound yet because every single joint on my cat-back leaks so I have to go get it welded up. I have some kind of clunk comming from the rear though. I'm not sure what it is yet. It's random and has no relation to engine rpm so it may take me awhile to figure it out. The car is at the tunneres right now, I can't wait to get it back and see what it can do now.
