Default loose map sensor

is it normal for a MAP sensor to be loose sitting in the intake manifold and it is a 3 pin or 2 pin connector that goes to it?

Mine sure is. It just has that one clip holding it in. As long as the piece protruding from the bottom (with the orange rubber seal) is in the intake with no leaks, then you are fine.
