FLP headers, what are they worth?
I have been out of the F-body game for almost 3 years now. My SS was totaled a few years ago, so I don't really come by here much.
I have a set of almost brand new Finish Line Performance Headers, sitting in my garage, that I need to get rid of. I want to post them for sale, but it is against the rules to post a for sale add with out the price.
I know what they cost me new, but what are they worth slightly used.
Thanks.
Jimmy
I don't turn this into a For Sale add, I just want to konw wha they are worth, I don't want this locked or deleted, thanks

I know the vettes are different since there seems to be a vette tax on EVERYTHING but I got some used FLP's that needed some weld repairs for $265. The mounting tabs on the collectors that bolt to the bellhousing had ripped off but it only cost me like $18 to get them welded up.

I wouldnt give them away! You are asking a crowd of people that generaly beg, borrow and steal to get the parts they want. Your not going to get an asking price, your going to get a low ball number.
Are they the full setup? Headers, cats, ypipe with all v-band clamps?
I would say 650, Arent they ceramic coated inside and out stainless steel that ran around 1300 new?

I sold a set of FLP's for an '01-'02 F-Body with the y-pipe, off road pipes, and cats, all the clamps for about $450 a couple of years ago.
Some of the coating was coming off and one of the primaries had a small patch because of a dent.
I guess if they are in perfect shape you can get upwards of 600 bucks for them. Back in '01/'02 they were THE header to have, but now with Kooks, QTP, and ARH making stainless headers that do flow better, its hard to sell them unless you do give them away at bargan prices.

IF coated, and still new, you should get a decent resale.
Even though it is no longer sold, Dynatech's SuperMaxx kit is VERY similar and I would price it close to that kit and knock it down to approx 60-75% of the cost new, and you should get a great return. Not sure if the kit is complete or headers only.
