Cut out's before the Y-pipe ?!
Alright guys im lookin to do full exhaust to the T/A and i would really like to do dual cut out's right after the headers before the y-pipe. Has anyone ever attempted this? Ideas? Concerns? Im not really too worried about what it'll sound like because the only time it'll be open is at the track (most likely)
Kooks LT's
Dual electric cut outs
Kooks catted y-pipe
GMMG (currently on the car)
Im looking for any advice on this cuz im gonna be doin this in the next month.
any help would be appreciated.

i had it on my z28, it sounded badass. at one point i left the cut outs open for a week till i couldnt take it anymore haaha. i bet the neighbors loved that when i went to work in the morning. they did hit on speedbumps though so be careful if you get it done. they were just regular cutouts w/ wingnuts on 3/8" bolts, and sorry but i dont have any pics.

I put manual cutouts right after the headers on my car. They scrape on really big speed bumps and thats about it. Just take it easy going over **** like that. BTW, they sound ******* badass.

check out the ws6store. they're in the sponsors>. they have a y-pipe with cut outs and electric valves. all you have to do is bolt it up. thats the way to go I've been doing research on this for myself.

I ran that setup on my LT1 motor before switching and the one thing I didn't like about it was that I couldn't position the driverside cutout outward like the passengerside because of the Subframe connectors. So this is how it ended up and I eventually took them off when I sold the duals.
Loud as **** though.

im not too worried about sound to be honest.
i dont think clearance will be an issue, ill have stock suspension for a while so ill deal with that later
This set up is going to be for the track only. any otherwise the cutouts will be closed.
Im personally not pleased with the pre-fixed set ups.
