Default Anyone use Moroso Crankcase evac system for oil blowby prb?

For what I understand, this is a fix for our low-tension oil ring / oil comsumption problem. i get lots of smoke from my exhaust at WOT, and I consume oil. Will this work:

Is this an option for a daily driver or only an all out race car?

Does this work in conjunstion with the stock PCV system, or does it replace it?

Some say it only works at High RPMS and you can't have mufflers?!!? Any info would be appreciated...

From my experiences it only works at high RPM. It is intended to replace the PCV system. Systems like this pull a light vacuum in the crankcase when set up properly. Racers (almost exclusively Drag) use this system to help them run ultra low tension oil rings. The vacuum in the crankcase helps the low tension rings seal.

My opinion: Waste of time on the street.

If you are serious about pursuing something along these lines you might want to look into vacuum pumps. They should work on a street driven vehicle. The durability of the Moroso pumps I have dealt with would be unknown in a street application. Feel like beta testing ?

I tell yout what, I'd definetly give it a shot if there was a piece that hooked up without major modifications to get it belt driven... I heard some talk of guys using an electric caddilac air pump, but I don't have any details on the subject.

If I got a vacuum pump, does my PCV system remain in place? Or do I no longer need it? I have never dealt with vacuum pumps before.

This is my daily driver, but at high RPMS at WOT it smokes like crazy. It looks like a driving a piece of crap! Otherwise my engine runs fines, pulls hard, and doesn't smoke at all under "normal" driving conditions.

Thanks!
