Can I use one of those oil/water seperators that they use for air compressors for now until I get some $$$ for a good catch can 405hp Z06 recommended? I have a couple of those oil/water seperators laying around my garage.

Great Thread!!

I just ordered my RevExtreme today. I have an LS2 with Maggy SC. I plan on running the dirty side into the can and blocking of the ports on the clean side and put in their vented, filtered oil cap. Sound good?

I'm going to do the ls6 valley cover when I do the fast on my 2000 camaro. I thought the ls6 valley cover had the PCV on the valley cover. What diagram do I need to follow on page 4?

Yes, you can use one of those. They aren't as effective as a good catch can and that's okay as long as the proper expectations are set.

An external PCV valve, or variable orifice valve, works as a one-way check valve. As long as your naturally aspirated, a standard PCV valve is sufficient.

All is good except for the vented clean side. Keep in mind air follows the path of least resistance, so don't be surprised if you have more oil on your engine and engine bay than what the catch can stops.

01-03 LS6 valley covers do NOT have an internal fixed orifice. 04 LS6 valley covers DO have an internal fixed orifice. Follow the N/A LS1 with LS6 valley cover diagram.

So you are saying that I will have oil on the engine or bay that is coming off that filtered cap???

The car is a weekend driver and not a racer so I don't think I need to be over concerned???

Or I can cap off the front port of the passenger side and T in the back port before the can???

Don't mix the clean and dirty sides, they are distinctly different. Tracy Lewis at RevXtreme, hopefully he will chime in, uses this configuration except he inserts a check valve in the clean side.

Calling Tracy.....

If you have an '04 LS6 valley than it has a built-in fixed orifice. The 'chamber' on the bottom is part of the PCV system, but it's not a PCV valve.

The LS1/LS6 valley won't fit on the LS3 block. :-(

Stock 2003 Corvette Z06 PCV valve. If I remember correctly, my dual cans were approximately $100.
