Default question about ls6 intake

I have a couple of questions...1. I understand that the air helps the cats to heat up quicker i was wondering where the AIR system gets the air from??? Also 2. If i were to buy an ls6 intake manifold with fuel rails and injectors included would it work on an ls1. another words are the ls1 and ls6 fuel rails and injectors the same???

The ls6 uses the same style injector as the ls1, so you can take the rail and injectors from the ls1 and swap them to the ls6. Air pump... In the driver wheel well between the tire and the front bumper is the air pump. Remove the black plastic and you'll see it, its a eletric "AIR" pump

The AIR pump pulls air from the lid or from a breather filter if your aftermarket lid didn't have a provision for it.

doesnt come from the TB. comes from the lid. AIR hose is connected to the lid...or aftermarket breather filter on some aftermarket lids
