installing solid motor mounts??

Default installing solid motor mounts??

so all the install rants and instructions ive seen are for poly mounts. how muc harder are solids?? i konw they process will obviously different and im wondering if this is something ill be able to tackle in my garage

please chime in if you have installed solids. if you have polys keep your opininos to yourself

I'm thinking they're on the same level of PITA, but you don't have to drill rivets out.

The hardest part doing my prothane engine mounts was lining everything back up (matching the mounts to the block and the k-member. That was a major PITA!!!

Like ^ he said it would just eliminate the step of re-building the stock housing with new mounts so there wouldn't be any torching, drilling, grinding and other fun stuff!!

If you don't mind the extra noise and vibrations from the solid mounts, go ahead.

there is no "noise" from solid mounts. i have very minimal vibration under 1000 rpms and thats it.

Installation for solids is no where near a PITA like poly's. Solids take about 30 mins to put in given the headers and removed.

Are you on your back or have a lift.I have a lift and they were not hard at all and no rockin and rollin from the engine.

i ordered my solids yesterday and should be tackling the project this weekend

solids are kool, got mine from spohn. but when letting out the clutch in mild city driving the vibes resonate throught the car till about 1,200 rpm

I've had solids and went back with poly. Solids are too noisy and creates too much vibrations.

my solids will be here thursday got them from lmperformance and have buddies all lined up for the job at hand this weeekend. Cant freaking wait lol


i dont mind the vibrations or noise, its why i have a big cam right

I have solids and i used to have polys in a older car and i like these solids i cant really tell but i have dyno matt threw my floor
