Default Weiand 5000 vs FAST intake

Summit sales both...weiand goes for 650 and the fast goes for 880. Now the fast intake promises 25 hp over ls1 intake and 15 hp over ls6 intake and its operating range is x-7000 rpms. And the weiand promises 30 hp over ls6 intake and its range is x-6200 rpms. I realize that these are claims and most likely not actual numbers.

Now Im wondering if anybody has used the weiand intake and if so what are some gains with it. Also can it be ported?

Trying to figure out if the $200 difference would be worth it. I know one can argue that if Im going to spend +1000 on a intake and a tb then I might as well and spend another 200 to get the more popular fast.

all comments welcome

thanks,

pride

Everyone is going to say "DO A SEARCH", but I'll save you the speech and headache.
It was debuted at the 2007 SEMA show and originally slated for release in Spring of 2008. Numerous delays later and here we are at Winter of 2009 and still it's backordered 4-6 weeks and constantly updates to a new date.
