Default Header size hurting me??

I have a set of QTP 1 3/4 primary-3inch collect sized headers with a TSP true dual exhaust setup. I was wondering if the size of my headers are too small. I am running a 408 car with 487HP/462TQ through an A4 right now. I was wondering if going to a 1 7/8 or even the new 2 inch primaries would help free up some more power?

I am planning on a huge dual stage shot of nitrous somewhere between 300-400 total and I have a feeling when I get that ready that my headers just won't flow enough

What do other stroker motor nitrous guys using??

thanks
Dustin

Your fine. We have 3 race cars in our group 2 with 402/408 both with nitrous and both run mid 9s and still have our 1 3/4 headers. The other is mine, its a 364 with a 200 shot also runs 9s and has off the shelf 1 3/4 headers. You do not need to upgrade.

yeah, you may gain ~5hp and trq but it probably wont show anything on track times

1 7/8 is good for ~2rwhp up top and maybe -1rwtq down low on a 347, your prob not losing more than 5rwhp up top

yea same here I'm feeling better about this size now....

What about this...I am running the TSp true dual setup and was thinking of just dropping in and going with open headers with a 12-18 inch turn down...If nothing else it should at least drop some weight and reduce what VERY little back pressure there might be
