Default 500 to spend, what would offer the most gains?

Could you recommend something that would be worth the money....I have a little under 500 to spend total on parts and potential items Im unable to install myself. Id like to compliment the mods I have in my sig.

i was thinking one or a combo of the following:

underdrive pulley
pnp throttle body
can you pnp the ls6 intake manifold - what power can be gained here?
k&n intake
thermostat

Anything else you could think of that I may be better off with, please tell me why I should go with that part, and what sort of gains Id be looking at

THANKS GUYS!!!!

Everything you have listed will give you minimal gains at best. A cam might be your better choice .....$500 would buy one.... probably won't get it installed though. ($550-600)....assuming the cam would cost $300-400.
From your list I would say the UD pulley or the P&P TB (descreened if it has one)

P&P TB hands down. You will get the most gains out of what you listed. Either that or save for a cam.

From the testing we've done the p&p tb should be worth 4-5, the underdrive pulley is worth 8rwhp, the K&N intake kit about 8-10...

Thanks. Jason, are those gains on a V?

what underdrive pulley do you recommed. What will the install run me? can i do it myself? will I need to purchase a belt? What are the downsides if any of running a ud pulley? Thanks!

What gears are you gonna get?

First off, you have 3.73s. Most would be happy with that, and gears don't do much for actual performance anyway.

Second, nobody makes gears for this rear. You gonna use the stock CTS/Solstice gears? I mean if you're gonna get a 9 inch from Madman, then by all means change the ratio.

yea i dk what you use the car for, but for a car makin ls6 power, i would invest in some superior drag radials if you dont already have them.

just to add, i mean it really all depends on what you mean by "gains." if you street race at all tires is a MUST for performance gains, if your at the track with a 405 hp motor, chances are the stock tires have no chance of dead hooking, some may disagree, but in my opinion if you are looking for the best gains under 500 bucks my answere for you is going to be tires. just remember 60ft wins races.

UD pulley and the K&N thing. I would save up and buy the all mighty FAST intake whenever you get the chance (dont p&p your stock ****). It was hard to give the go ahead on a $1,450 Intake and TB combo (fully ported by vengence), but god damn its a sweat peice of plastic, with a nice metal mouth on the front.

By the way your Caddie looks ****** beautiful.

I should have looked at the OP's sig....I figured this thread was about an f-body being modded.
