Default Any opinions on oil in my coolant and vice versa

its been a worsening problem but lately i started getting really nasty oil blow back in my throttle body and water in on my oil cap and their seemed to be an abundance of nasty oil in my cooling system so i decided to park it and strip it down thinking head gaskets. got the gaskets off and there were a few problem areas but no defining problem. is there something i should be looking at other than head gaskets

If you have the PS pump cooler then its probably leaking inside the radiator hose.

Do you have an F-body, I assume...?

It could be the power steering cooler which is inline with the upper radiator hose.

Also, the auto trans cooler is located inside the RHS radiator side tank and it may be broken.

^^ werd. and as far as the oil in the TB, i would check your pcv system as they have been known to be problematic.

how does a leaking power steering cooler cause water on the oil cap and blow by in the TB?

I can see the PS cooler getting oil in the coolant and coolant in the PS fluid, but how does that get into the oil cap/crankcase?

In other words, thats likely not the problem.
