difference between tr55 and tr6 plugs?

Default difference between tr55 and tr6 plugs?

like the title says, whats the difference between the two spark plugs? i've seen the msd plug wires with the ngk plugs and seens these two plugs are priced the same..

TR6 is one heat range colder. Better for FI or Nitrous applications to avoid detonation. I have also heard that you should go to a colder plug when you add 50rwhp, but not sure I believe that. I'm ~150rwhp over stock and still running the TR55's w/ ~11.1:1 compression.

TR6 plugs are a colder lug used with H/C, N20 or FI

TR55 is used for a N/A car

It might be advisable, but not necessary. Like I said, a lot depends on the tune and compression ratio.

what are ya'll gapping your tr55's at for n/a combinations? i'm slightly modded, small cam and 11:1 c/r...got a set of truck coils too. any help would be appreciated, i'm trying to wrap up the last bits of my swap today and tomorrow.

Out of the box, they come .056-.057. I normally just make them all .057 I think the book says .059-.060

Not necssarilly. My tuners car runs 8.50's at 155 plus and he suggested TR55's for my car so I think he knows a little LS1 stuff...........
